Our complex manufacturing required multiple machining stages on transfer machines, with long and complicated tooling operations. Furthermore, it was difficult to maintain a good quality standard due to the need to carry out manual deburring processes.
Thanks to PORTA Production Method, we grouped the machining of complex parts in a single phase, with much simpler and faster tooling and without any subsequent deburring problem. So, the quality of the machined parts is significantly improved.
Again, thanks to PORTA Production Method, we have considerably reduced the lead-time of items that were previously processed on transfer machines in several phases, sometimes at the expense of the cycle time that could be higher. This problem is solved by having the parts immediately available and by faster changeover times.
