From October 22–24, 2025, Porta Solutions hosted OktoberTest 2025 at our headquarters in Villa Carcina, Italy: three full days of hands-on demos, technical debate, and a clear look at the future of machining operations.
From day one, the energy was focused and practical. Every conversation reinforced a simple truth: innovation doesn’t come from machines alone, it comes from the people who push them forward every day.
“Our goal was to create a space for real dialogue with manufacturers” said Maurizio Porta, CEO of Porta Solutions.
The market demands flexible, smart and concrete solutions.
Our mission is to anticipate those needs, with method and vision.
OktoberTest wasn’t just another exhibition: It operated like a lab of applied ideas.
Visitors experienced the latest outcomes of the Porta Production Method: from our three-independent-spindle machining centers to the digital solutions that enable intelligent process control.
The spotlight was on the new PORTACENTER Hyper, the most advanced model in the PORTACENTER category.
Its takeaway is clear: you can combine productivity and flexibility for medium batches — a mix that’s still rare in today’s market.
One of the most appreciated moments: the presentation of our joint project with the University of Brescia on machining lead-free brass.
The study scientifically compared three alloys – CW511L, CW617N, CW614N – measuring critical parameters such as tool wear, surface quality, and cycle time on PORTACENTER machines equipped with dedicated sensors.
Key outcome: with the right scientific approach, lead-free brass can achieve efficiency levels very close to traditional leaded alloys.
This opens real opportunities for companies looking to stay ahead of evolving regulations without sacrificing productivity or margins.
The session triggered a constructive debate among business leaders, technology partners, and our Technical Tutors, confirming the Porta Production Method as a bridge between academic research and industrial application.
Beyond the experimental work, we previewed major digital initiatives:
These solutions reflect our approach: continuous innovation with measurable impact on results.
OktoberTest 2025 succeeded thanks to ongoing collaboration across University research, technology development, and daily conversations with manufacturers.
A sincere thank-you to all customers, partners, and institutions who contributed ideas and time.
If you couldn’t attend, don’t let the innovations stay second-hand.
Our Technical Tutors are available to walk you through the University of Brescia study results and discuss how to apply them to your specific process, with data in hand.
